Glider getting ready for takeoff as crew hooks up to towplane.
A couple of happy guests.
NO. The limitation is more weight than age. You must be between 80-220 pounds and in reasonably good health. Younger riders need to be responsible, and older riders need to be able to get into and out of the sailplane.
Yes. The gliders are limited to a passenger weight of 80-220 pounds.
Year-round. In the summer we fly in warm rising air. In the Winter we fly in wave action created by the mountains to the west.
There are three options: 15-minutes, 30-minutes, and 45-minutes. However, since there is no engine, we are at the mercy of the day's weather, so the length of the flight may vary.
It depends. The air is smoother in the morning and evening, but there is little rising air to stay airborne longer. During the heat of the day, there is plenty of rising air to stay airborne for long periods, but that air is bumpy.
Yes, on warmer days. This is more likely in the Spring and Summer.
Well, you will be asked for a deposit to get on the schedule. If you give us a day's notice, we can cancel without charge. But sometimes we get no-shows; so, we charge for these.
Yes, but not all at once. The glider carries one passenger and one pilot.
Yes. They can sit on our benches and enjoy the views. They can watch your face go from super attentive to thrilled at having been so close to nature.
Dress for the season. Wear a cloth hat (no button on top, please). Use sunscreen. Bring a camera if you want. Bring water (in Colorado, we drink lots of water). Don't eat too much before flying as the new sensations might upset your stomach.
You can pay with cash, credit card, or check for any of the following choices:
Note: All times are estimated and depend on the weather.
